It's Monday (well, actually Sunday) already! We are on vacation at the beach for a week but I couldn't go without showing my Monday Mugs post about feet!!

1. What is one food you could eat everyday? hmmm... tough one! I'm not sure. I don't really have a super favorite but I would never go a single day without my morning coffee.
2. Are you working in the career you thought you would be when you were 18? Nope, but I love what I do
3. What is something that you wish you would have done when you were younger and you didn't? Travel more before we had children
4. What color are your kitchen walls? A pretty goldish/yellowish kind of color (hard to describe)

Friday Fill-Ins

And...here we go!

1. Layers of dirt were scrubbed off my boys last night after we came home from playing/fishing at a local stream.

2. I'd love to have an insight on how that works!

3. I'd be willing to bet we'll have a fabulous time at the beach next week!

4. Big dogs that bark scare the dog my parents have because she is so little.

5. I'm fond of warm weather.

6. If we have too much fun on our trip, we won't want to come back home!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to not having any specific plans, tomorrow my plans include packing and taking Nick to a friends b-day party, and Sunday, I want to leave on vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy ~ I am so happy it's summertime!

True Story Tuesday - Birthmarks!

Ray was giving both boys their bath Monday night and I overheard him say "Adam, you have a birthmark on your back, I never noticed that before." I went in to see and saw that Nick had a puzzled look on his face. He asked "What's a birthmark?" We explained it and he seemed satisfied with the answer.

Later, as I was tucking Nick onto bed he said, very innocently, "Mom I used to have one of those skidmarks like Adam has on his back when I was 3 but I scrubbed it off!"

It was hard not to laugh hystericallly in front of him because he was so sincere and after a brief explanation, he realized that birthmarks are waterproof and that he never had one.

Kids say the funniest things - hehe.

I love warm weather

It's easy to get the kids ready, no coats, hats, gloves, etc.

Vacations!! Especially visiting the beaches!

There is so much to do!!

My flowers are gorgeous and I can sit on my deck and enjoy them.

An adult beverage (or more) on hot summer evenings!

Swimming -my family LOVES water!

Not as strict of a schedule since hubby is off and the kids don't have school.

No daycare payments - WHO WHOOO!!!

Getting a sun tan!

Fireworks

1 week until our one week stay at our beach house!!

...and I could go on, and on, and on!!

10 Things in June

Once a month a blogger, Emmy, lists 10 things that made her smile for that month and allows us to join in. What a fun idea! This is my first week participating, so here we go.....

1. Beautiful summer weather.

2. A suprise trip planned by my hubby.

3. My flowers are so pretty around the yard.

4. Lots of days off of work to enjoy time with the family.

5. A great, and hot, trip to Dutch Wonderland/Lancaster with my family and my parents.

6. Getting my new deck stained and beautified!

7. SWIMMING!!

8. Watching my children play and enjoy the outdoors.

9. Less laundry since hubby is a teacher and not wearing dress clothes right now.
