My favorite Christmas tradition is decorating. I always work a 1/2 day the day before Thanksgiving and I do all the decorations except for the Christmas ornaments on the tree and the outside stuff (that's Ray's job). Ray and I pick the kids up together, we tell them there is a big suprise at home and then we take them to a special restraunt. This year we went o the Olive Gardens. After dinner we go shopping and each child gets to pick one favorite ornament to add to the tree (usually the theme for whatever toys are the favorite at the time), I buy more ornaments that I can't resist but don't need, and we go home and put the ornaments on the tree. We listen to Christmas music as we decorate, get warm baths, new jammies on and then watch the Rudolph DVD. I love it. See pictures of this special night on the post below.

I love how you let the boys pick out their own ornaments, that is wonderful. I usually wrap them up and they get them as gifts. :o)
I like that you let me pick out their own ornaments. I wrote about ornaments too.
Oh that's great that they pick out a special ornament. I love your tradition...sounds like a heartwarming day!!
