Bass Proshops Visit

You wouldn't think a store could be so fun...but it is not like any other store. We went to the Bass Pro Shop in Harrisburg, Pa and it is a fun experience. The kids had a great time. If you ever get a chance to go, you should! You will have the opportunity to watch the many live fish swim, feel like you at hunting in the woods as you enjoy the stuffed game in there "natural" habitat, shoot targets are the shooting range, sample the food, play in the boats, sit in the ATV's, and so on, and so on. This is probably the 4th time we ahve been there since we only live an hour away, but we fund something new to enjoy everytime we go. Here are some pictures of our day.

The fish pond.

The trout bench.

Trying not to fall in.

The live 2 story aquarium with an glass elevator that goes through it!

Adam is duck hunting!

A mountain goat.

Getting a back scratch from a grizzly bear!

Taking a close look at the fish.

Friday Photo Flashback

I don't usually go very far back, but this is an oldie. This is "our gang" from college at one of very famous and very fun New Years Eve parties. We are celebrating the end of 1998.
Good friends and good times. Remember this Jamie?

Friday Fill Ins

1. The lesson I learned yesterday was amazing.

2. Parties are where friends and family meet.

3. All these years with my hubby and children ahve been fantastic.

4. They couldn't wait to tell me about their day when I arrived to pick them up at day care.

5. The truth is I'm really excited about Saturday night and going out with my hubby and good friends, it's been awhile since we did that and it should be a great time.

6. Seeing the smiles on their little faces is what I remember most from that day.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to family time, tomorrow my plans include date night with my hubby while the kids spend the night with their grandparents and Sunday, I want to get some stuff done around the house before I go and pick up the kids.

My New Toy

The Perfect Brownie Maker. Ray bought me one for Christmas. I usually don't fall for gimics or gadgets but his one is nice. I was home with Nick on Monday because he wasn't feeling well. In a spirt of feeling better after Tylenol kicked in, he asked to make brownies with my new gadget. It works perfectly and you truly get 2" x 2" brownie squares that are super moist and perfectly baked. I recommend this gadget, especially is you are like me and can't cut a pan of brownies into even sized pieces if your life depended on it. Mine came from Target, but I have also seen them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Painting Project

It's hard to keep the indoors fun and interesting when you can't be outside because it will not warm up past 25 degrees. My Mom found these ceramic magnet kits for the kids to paint. Once dry, they will be great to display their artwork on the refridgerator. It was a really great project for the boys. I'm always looking for fun, exciting projects that both a 3 year old and a 6 year can both enjoy. Feel free to leave me a link to your blog or comment on you favorite cabin fever activty for kids.

Have a good week blog friends!!
