ffi
And...here we go!
1. I'm tired, I'm ready for the weekend, I wanna go home.
2. Why do I have energy to do this and not enough energy to finish the report I'm working on (I'm doing this at work - shhhh).
3. How does this thing work, anyway?
4. Every morning, I put make- up on my face.
5. I consider myself lucky because I have a great life.
6. One day we’ll see the world.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to relax, tomorrow my plans include shopping and Sunday, I want to play in the snow (were supposed to get a bunch!)!

Thankful Thursday

I am Thankful for waking up (really early) to 2 sets of beautiful blue eyes and cute faces who say "good morning Mommy".

I am thankful that Ray and I have secure, well paying jobs in the economy we face today.

I am thankful for the 1/2 hour drive to work each day to clear my head, think, refelct, and enjoy the quiet.

I am thankful everyday that my boys are running around, fighting, spilling milk, asking a lot of questions, and wanting to do everything like a grown up because they are strong, healthy and able to do it!

I am thankful for a wonderful husband who knows my faults, puts up with my "ways" and still tells me he loves me everyday!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Brrrrr it's cold outside. The thermometer read 13.7 degrees at our house this morning. Spring, where are you????

This past weekend was fun. Ray went to camp Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so it was just me and my boys and we had a really great time. we did some shopping (it passes the time and they enjoy getting a toy for good behavior), lots of playing and I had to fit in some laundry and cleaning. They only problem was sleep. Adam has recently gotten into the habit of waking up between 5:00am and 5:30am. I am not liking this new trend. This too shall pass - I hope!
Below is a picture of my parents puppy, Daisy. She spent the weekend with us and the kids really enjoyed her. It also reminded me that I am not ready for a permanent dog in our house yet. Sometimes we need reality checks before we do something crazy. She is an 8lb yorkie mix.

One morning last week, and the only day Adam decided to sleep in, I went in his room to wake him up for nursery school and this is how he was sleeping. Ray and I thought it was cute. I think he was on his way out of bed at 5:00am and decided to sleep a little longer - haha.

Nick made me promise to post this picture of him in his bedroom with his new toy. It's a trasformer he's been wanting and I bought it for this weekend for good behavior and because I'm a sucker and it's hard to say no.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am learning to love this blogging thing and I've really enjoyed the interesting blogs I've found. If you notice anything particularly interesting, pass it on!

Fun With the Kids & A Thought for Parents

A few weeks ago we had snow and then an ice storm that covered the snow. The kids wanted to go out and build a snowman but it was too icy to go out side so...this is what we did and we had a blast. White laundry baskets and a little creativity gave us a really fun project!

Just playing around.

We made Steelers banners to display as we watched the superbowl.

Adam is "helping" me with the laundry.

A close-up of Adam!

A Thought For The Day For Anyone Who Has Children...

Yesterday at about 6:00 am we received a phone call from the principal at the high school Ray teaches at. Two of his students were killed in a house fire earlier that morning - the parents survived. I immediately got goosebumps and, since my children get up before the rooster does, they were awake and I ran to give them hugs and kisses as they played.. How awful it would be to loose a child, especially two - it's completely unimaginable to me! Last night Ray took the kids out for a special fun night full pf play and good times, just because sometimes you just need to show your kids how much they mean to you. Hug your kids and appreciate every second of every day!

Friday Fill Ins

I found this interactive blog site and I thought it was fun. Each Friday the author posts
statements and you need to fill in the blanks with your answers. I may not participate every
Friday, but in the honor of valentines day, I thought I would give it a try.

1. It seems like this winter is lasting forever - I want to go outside and play!!.

2. Boys - put the toilet seat down when you're done, please?

3. If I thought you would be secretly planning a romantic get away and have babysitting arrangements already made I'd be ready to go in an instant!

4. "I'm a very lucky women and thank you for this wonderful life and two perfect children" -is what I think of most when I think of you.

5. To me, Valentine's Day means happiness, love, gratitude, romance, and warmth.

6. My family gives me strength.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to family time, tomorrow my plans include dinner out and Sunday, I want to catch up on laundry and housework!

Feeling Old and Reaching Milestones

Yesterday I called Greencastle Primary School and choose a day and time to register Nick for KINDERGARTEN!! I can't believe it. On April 6th at 10:30 I will be taking my first born to see the school, do the paperwork, and kindergarten readiness tests. He will officially be entering the school world - ugh! As if that didn't take ole Mom for a loop - 2 weeks ago Ray signed Nick up for his first season of T-ball. Practices begin in April and games start in May. I have to admit - it is much easier being away from the baby thing. Outing are more fun and not nearly as much work and it is definately easier to go somewhere. Adam is almost potty trained. He just turned 2 in January and took it upon himself that he was going to go on the potty like Nick. It sure made my life easier! No more cribs in our house, no more bottles, and almost no more diapers. They grow up fast but each year seems like more fun than the last.

My first attempt at blogging...

Hello all. I have seen many blogs and I always thought that they were so neat and such a clever way to post a new picture, talk about something new or memorable or just share a laugh. I've gotten away from the myspace scene and I thought I could give this a try. This seems much more fun so far. I'll post when I can but it is a goal to keep up with this on a regular basis. I am posting some pictures below of the kids since its been about 8 months since I've posted any new pics on myspace. Enjoy and PLEASE keep in touch!
