Slipin' and Slidin'

What a hot Memorial Day weekend! We bought a slip n' slide for something fun to do.
I even went down the slide - twice. I'm sure it was quite a sight and hope the neighbors weren't watching. The kids laughed and we had a super time!!!!
I got some really great photos of the day.

The sun was really hot and I was fearing the water wouldn't make the sunscreen last as long so towards the end I made them wear t-shirts. I might be nuts, but babies with sunburns doesn't sound like fun to me.

I was teasing Nick about getting him a mowhawk (No I wasn't serious - I don't like them, we were just playing). His hair was wet and I honestly thought he looked really cute. Ray didn't enjoy my humor. I loved this picture.

Mother's Day Fun!!

I had a super Mother's Day. I was treated like a queen and I got so many special gifts. My hubby out did himself this year. The final gift I received at dinner was a beautiful diamond necklace! I was shocked. The kids made me some really sweet gifts at school that included their handprints (I'll post pics of those later). Handprints and a sweet poem is a quick way to a Mom's heart. Below are some pictures of us playing in the backyard after a day full of activities.

I want the ball... No I want the Ball!!

My Sweet Boy!

Ready and willing to squirt anyone who comes close.

Hi Mom!

Cool Dude!

In deep thought.

Being unusually cooperative for a photos.

Nick's First T-Ball Game

Our league T-ball rules allow the coaches to pitch to their team. If the child can not connect to the ball after 3 tries, then they use the Tee. In this picture, Ray is pitching to Nick. (It's quite a coinsidence that Nick happens to be the number one and he is the coaches son - don't ya think?)
A Mommy Funny -
Nick is up to bat for the first time.
He hits the ball on the first pitch
He doesn't run
I'm yelling Nick run
He starts to run
Everyone is quiet (except for me yelling for Nick to run!)
Ray is yelling "get back Nick - it was a foul ball."
Oops, I guess I got a little excited.

It's a HIT!!!

Getting antsy while on third.

Luckily there was a small park near the baseball diamond. Adam desperately wanted to play with Daddy & Nick so my parents and I took turns playing at the park to occupy Adam and to try and watch Nick play some too.

Children's Carnival

We had a great Saturday. (Aunt) Liz found out about a children's carnival where everything was designed for kids ages 2- 6. That's right up my alley and the best part was everything was free!
The kids had a great time and then Liz treated us all to lunch at the boys favorite place, Pizza Hut. We had a great day.

Look at that big boy!!

Nick was proud that he got to ride the biggest horse.

The lady never said where he had to stand to win. He wanted to be guaranteed a prize :)

Racing remote control cars with Liz.

This was funny...Adam wanted to keep the ducks and gave the prize back to the man!
